BOYO

BOYO is the psych-y fuzz-pop brainchild of 20 year-old Robert Tilden, former singer/songwriter in L.A. cult garage-band Bobby T. and the Slackers. BOYO was born out of the gradual dissolution of “Bobby T. and the Slackers,” a project that Tilden had started at age 16.

“Bobby T.” had seen local success after playing raucous sets throughout LA’s D.I.Y. and warehouse circuit with a live lineup featuring Sanam Tiffany and Cleo Tucker (of Girlpool. Tilden then released a homemade demo-tape in late 2012, getting the project opening slots for L.A. mainstays (Cherry Glazerr, Surf Curse, Current Joys, Girlpool, to name a few) and touring alternative/indie acts (La Femme, the DMA'S).

Me, Again, the follow up to his debut Control, taps into his sense of vulnerability, taking on themes of isolation, addiction, and regret. The album is a jagged collection of garage rock and soft DIY indie and noisey pop music, channeling everyone from Ty Segall to Elliot Smith to Deerhunter.
